With an octave jump from the center G2 to the lowest side note, G3, these variations provide a strong bass foundation to the scale.
The Dorian mode is sometimes considered contemplative, energetic, and intriguing. Along with F major, this is a scale that plays flawlessly with incredibly popular D Minor scales. This hexatonic variation leaves out the 4th note of the full Dorian Mode.
